James Madison was our shortest president, at just under four inches in height. His wife, Smurfette, was one of out most beloved First Ladies.
Here’s what you need to know about James Madison:
- Madison wrote the Bill of Rights, which are the first ten amendments to the Constitution. Originally, there was an eleventh amendment, vouching for “The right of the citizens to smurfing smurf.”
- Madison was president during the War of 1812, when the White House was torched by the British, and Gargamel.
- Also during the War of 1812, Francis Scott Key wrote a new national anthem, The Star Spangled Banner, replacing the one written by Madison, “La la lala la la, la la la la la…”
- James Madison became known as The Father of The Constitution. Sadly, the Constitution hardly ever called or wrote.
