Mongolia: Being And Nothingness, But Mostly Nothingness

Today, Mongolia is the home of many modern conveniences, such as outdoor plumbing and oxen with up to four legs. But in ancient times, it was home of the Mongol hordes, who terrorized the world by hoarding all kinds of crap in their yurts. And they found like, a dead cat under that stack of newspapers from 1978. That was so gross.

Here are a few things you might want to know about Mongolia, though probably you don’t:

  • Mongolia is sparsely populated, averaging only half a person per square mile. And usually, it’s the bottom half.
  • Mongolia’s chief export is vast, mind-boggling emptiness.
  • Today, Mongolia is ruled with an iron fist by a descendant of Genghis Khan, the much-feared Didi Khan.
